The short version

• The calculators work entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us.
• We do not ask you to create an account.
• If you email us, we use your email only to reply.
• This site may use analytics and advertising services that set cookies, described below.

Calculator data stays on your device

To save you retyping, the calculators remember your last inputs, your units and your currency in your browser's local storage. The estimate builder does the same with your business details and line items. This information stays on your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data, or with each tool's reset button.

Information we collect

When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it to answer you and keep the conversation in our inbox. We do not sell it or add you to a mailing list without asking.

Server and hosting logs. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may log technical information such as IP addresses for security and operations. See GitHub's privacy statement for details.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to understand which pages and calculators people use, so we can improve them. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, time on page and general location, and reports it to us in aggregate. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

This site may show ads served by Google AdSense and its partners.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Where the law requires it, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area and the UK, we ask for your consent before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning home projects. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use a private window, and clear the calculators' saved data at any time. Blocking cookies does not stop the calculators from working.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top changes too.
